Optimum Shoes!!!!

As I pack up my apartment to move, I sit here and ponder the importance of life………………………….just kidding! Instead, I wondered how in the name of Jimmy Choo did I get so many shoes!!!! I never realized I had so many pairs of shoes! While packing I pulled out some shoes that I haven’t seen in months! It’s like I went shopping in my own closet, because I have formulated some amazing outfits based on these new/old shoes that I found. After packing I ended up having THREE huge boxes of shoes! I counted my shoes and I had a whopping 136 pairs of shoes! I did give ten pair to good will so I now have 126 pairs of shoes ….and that’s not including my boots. I’m just to mortified to tell you how many boots I have , plus a girls gotta keep some mystery right? After I realized that I had so many pair of shoes I wondered what my obsession was all about. (Don’t be fooled I am most defiantly obsessed. When I had a walk in closet, and I was sad I would sit in my closet surrounded by shoes because that made me feel better!..........can you say crazy ?) Why do women love shoes? I believe that it is a combination of things. One, women love variety. This is why we try to change our hair so often, or why we like to change the décor in our home with every season. A great pair of shoes can make an outfit look completely different; giving us that variety we are looking for. Another reason why I love shoes is because they always fit. No matter what I eat my peep toe off white sling back Marc Jacobs will always fit and look fabulous! What are some of the reasons you love shoes? Leave a comment and let me know your reasons .For those of you who don’t love shoes…..Shame on you!!!!!!.........JK

Optimum Beauty " How to dress your body" (Banana shaped)

Living in New York enables me to meet a lot of different people with different ideas and styles. During my endeavors this weekend I was able to really observe many women and how they dressed their body and unfortunately it wasn’t pretty. Many women don’t know how to dress their body because they are unaware that there are four basic body types. If you refer to the picture I posted with this post you will see that the body types are banana, apple, pear, and hourglass. In order to obtain your optimum self esteem and beauty it is imperative that women know what her body shape is. I am most defiantly a pear shape even though I would love to be an hourglass shape though. (aw well…..I love my body for what it is) It’s important to be real with yourself. By the time you get the hang of what looks good on your body you won’t even remember what shape you wanted to be!!! How a woman is shaped determines what she should wear and what looks best on her body. Women who are shaped like a banana generally have an athletic body with toned arms. These women have a rectangular shaped body. Their waist is less than 9 inches smaller than either their hips or bust measurements. These women’s upper body is proportionate to their lower body. They tend to have smaller bust size, not much curve at your waist and usually have great legs. The goal of dressing the banana shape is to use clothing to give your body curves. This can be as simple as wearing a structured jacket with a cinched waist that comes in or around the waist, this often presents a fuller curvier look. Women with a banana shape should wear knee length a-line skirts. If you are banana shaped chose jeans, pants, and skirts that sit below your waist. Look for tops with ruffles, large prints, or detailing. Also wearing a padded bra to add a cup size is an option. It’s also nice to add fun necklaces and scarves to your outfit. Wrap dresses look wonderful on you. Women with banana shapes should not wear tight clothing that will accentuate your lack of curves. Stay away from vertical lines and do not wear high waisted pants or skirts - these do not help create curves. Quite the opposite on banana shaped women. Avoid wearing loose fitting tops and dresses. Remember the goal is to create shapes, not hide them. If you are banana shape try these tips out and you won’t regret it! Stayed tuned for apple, pear, and hourglass shaped bodies. Advice on how to dress for you women are soon to come. But in the meantime be on the lookout for you self inspired beauty.

OPTIMUM BEAUTY

So one of my rules on how to achieve optimum self esteem (in a post soon to come) is learning how to love and enhance your natural beauty. I do this in a variety of ways but this is always a easy way to give yourself confidence a boost. Long thick full lashes can give any girl the confidence to bat her eyes at her dream man! On a budget? No problem! These two mascaras come straight from you local drugstore. When it comes to drug store mascara I believe that Maybelline is the Holy Grail. This is why I use Maybelline colossal volume on top of Maybelline lash stiletto. I use them at the same time because one provides length while the other provides volume. When put together the make my eyelashes look like a million bucks! (Or just really pretty..lol ) so next time you are at the drug store pick these up and try to use them at the same time...... Let me know what you think.

"THE OPTIMUM WOMEN "

The relationship we have with the world is largely determined by the relationship we have with our self ~ Grey Anderson

Have you ever had that girl/women in your class or work place who seems to epitomize the very essence of beauty, class, and grace. She walks with a slight hop in her step that stems from her lack of faults and her abundance of perfectness. When she enters the room every eyes is on her. All the men want her and all the women want to be like her. She conveys such a strong sense of self confidence that is so overwhelming that it diminishes the fact that she is also human and has flaws. I like to refer to these women as “The Optimum Women". The word optimum is defined as the most desirable or favorable. This woman is not necessarily a size two or is a 5 feet 9 inches blond bombshell, but she posses something that is long-lasting. She realizes that she might not be perfect but she is beautiful anyway. She is sure of the fact that she will in fact become successful and will complete her goals. This woman has something more powerful and important to womens well being more then shopping or even chocolate! This woman has self confidence and a high sense of self esteem. So often women look at other women and compare themselves to them. This unhealthy behavior can in fact lead to a lifetime of feeling not good enough and putting other women down because of insecurity. Having self confidence and obtaining an extreme self esteem level takes a few easy steps that I will give you in a later post, but for now I would like for you to realize the importance of self esteem and how far it can get you in your goals in life. How we deal with the world and relationships around us has so much to do with what we think about ourselves. Always remember to love yourself for you.

Optimum Inspiration

often I will post a few steps to help boost your self esteem. I have briefly spoken about my quest to get the word out as much as I can about the importance of self esteem for women. In this post I will provide one of my rules to becoming the "optimum women" I spoke about in my first post.

1) Being beautiful is more then outer beauty. Learn how to love your natural beauty.
What is your best feature? Mine is my eyes. Do you have nice hair ,nice legs , amazing skin? Or are u an incredible writer, or singer or actress? Or maybe your an outstanding domestic engineer( house wife) Its so important that women know what we are naturally good at and what our natural beauty consist of. So often we look at another woman's beauty in envy not realizing that we have our own beauty that someone else is envious of.Learning to love yourself starts with knowing what there is to love about yourself. What is beauty to you? Inspire yourself to find your beauty and start loving it and embracing it today. Today is the day you define your self inspired beauty.
